ANSWER: Choose a mattress with good back support and minimal pressure

  • Avoid excessive deep comfort layers that do not fully support body weight
  • When testing -  lay on your side... Check your spine is straight.  Spend as much as 10-20 minutes on the mattress to ensure you are supported and comfortable

QUESTION: Should I have a PILLOW-TOP mattress?

ANSWER: Only if extra comfort is required

  • If you choose a mattress where by the whole mattress adjusts to your body weight (Latex, Foam, Pocket Springs etc), you may not need a Pillow-Top
  • Pillow-Top mattresseses may develop body impressions.  This is a "normal" occurrence as you sleep "IN" the mattress, rather than "ON" it.
